Students who choose to fulfill degree requirements will be eligible to receive the Associate of Arts Degree with an emphasis in art. The Associate of Arts Degree program is normally utilized by those students planning to transfer to a four-year institution at the completion of two years at Otero Junior College in order to complete their Bachelor of Arts Degree in various majors relating to the study of art.

The Associate of Arts degree is the most commonly awarded degree at OJC as the core courses required for the degree are the foundation for most Bachelor of Arts degrees.
