Cape Verde Lunch and Learn to be held on March 12

 

The International Lunch and Learn series will feature Hevany Mota who is a sophomore on the OJC soccer team. He is also native of Cape Verde, a nation of beautiful islands off the coast of West Africa. This event is free and open to all who would like to learn more about the culture and nation.

The Lunch and Learn program is a part of the International Speakers Bureau, International Relations Organization, and Learning Commons International Lunch and Learn series. They were established to provide an introduction to the cultures that make up the international community by featuring students from different corners of the globe. Students share their experiences and cultures and the audience gets the inside track about their countries, cultures, and place.

The meal will not be provided but everyone is welcome to bring their lunch into the Learning Commons and enjoy the presentation.

The last Lunch and Learn for the Spring Semester will be held on April 2 at noon with presenters from Spain.
