OJC Baseball Team Hosted Intersquad Game


On Friday Feb. 2, 2018 the OJC baseball team hosted an intersquad baseball game. The intersquad game gave OJC fans the opportunity to meet the 2018 Otero baseball team.

According to the Rattler fans in attendance the intersquad baseball game had a lot to offer. Attendees explained that hotdogs, chips, and soda where available at no charge, an on the field meeting of players, and player an autograph session took place, along with a seventh inning stretch, and fan appreciation contests with prizes.

“We wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone for coming out and showing your support this past Friday. We felt the event was a great way to kick off the 2018 season.” Chris Carrillo, head baseball coach said. Carrillo explained that the season is just beginning, Rattler fans that missed the intersquad game have plenty of opportunities to see the team in action.

“We hope to see you at the yard for our home opener on Saturday, February 24th against Luna. Your support is always appreciated.” Carrillo stated.

Carrillo gave a special thanks to the following individuals: Sam and Jay Grimsley for helping us man the BBQ grill, Debbie Phillips for producing the flyer to advertise the event, Addison Aragon for singing the National Anthem, Jordan Bishop and student life for providing the concession items, Estefany Gonzalez, Lasly Alaniz, MJ Cruz, Taiylor Holland, Meghann Root.
