OJC College National Finals Rodeo Wrap Up
Otero Junior College Rodeo standout Mason Mardesich (Gridley, Calif.) finished 16th in the saddle bronc riding national standings of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Mardesich was the first Rattler Rodeo athlete to win a regional title for OJC since its rebirth in 2009. Mardesich had some bad luck in the first round of competition at the CNFR, but finished 15th in the second round and he finished fifth in the third round of competition. This put him just four spots out of the championship round. Mardesich finished number 16 in the national standings.
Otero Junior College rodeo will continue competition in the fall starting in Chadron, Neb. on September 15. The team will compete in five regional rodeos in the fall vying for a qualification to the CNFR.
