BUENO HEP High School Equivalency graduation

The BUENO HEP High School Equivalency program at Otero Junior College held a graduation ceremony for its 2016-2017 graduates on June 16 in the Ed Stafford Theatre. 

A total of 25 students completed their graduation requirements within the year.  Graduates included: Anna Maria Armstrong, Ashley Backus-Heatly, Johnathan Benjamin, Stephanie E. Berumen, Kyle Shawn Chambers, Amzi Collins, Carlton Duke, Chasity Duran, Cassandra Hernandez, Catalina Marie Herrera, Emily Ann Isbell, Miguel James, Gary Massy, Shawnie Mayo, Christopher Medina, Myra Marie Menz, Monica Lynn Mondragon, Daryl Nichols, Edward O’Rilly, Alyssa Rafior, Aimee Reynolds, Dustin Austin Rhodes, Brennan Ruby, Alicia Rumrill and Frankie Sanchez, Jr.

Jeff Paolucci served as the keynote speaker.  His speech honored the accomplishments of the group, thanked those gathered for the support they gave the graduates, and encouraged the graduates to continue to be life-long learners. 

In addition to honoring the graduates, Bueno HEP HSE program coordinator Marian Morris presented OJC President Jim Rizzuto with a plaque of appreciation for his support and his role in keeping this program at Otero Junior College.

A reception was held after the ceremony for families and friends to gather with the graduates.
