Otero Players to hold auditions for Bus Stop Feb. 1 and 2
The Otero Players are set to bring their production of Bus Stop by William Inge to the stage this semester. The Otero Players is an independent project of the Otero Junior College Department of Arts.
Bus Stop takes place inside "a street-corner restaurant in a small Kansas town about thirty miles west of Kansas City." Due to icy conditions, an inter-state bus is forced to stop for the night. One by one, the bus passengers are introduced, each with their own quirks and conflicts.
Auditions will be on Wednesday, February 1 and Thursday, February 2, from 7 - 9 in the Stafford Theatre. There are 8 parts: three women, four men. All parts are open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.
The production dates have been set for April 21, 22, and 23. The Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. while the Sunday show will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee.
For more information on the auditions or the production, contact Cass Litle, OJC English and Theatre Faculty, at (719)384-6851.
